PUBLIC SPEAKING
I enjoy sharing the lessons I have learned over my decades on the front-lines of the Internet. Having built security organizations from the ground up at three major companies, I have seen and responded to safety and security threats in every context you can imagine.
I have keynoted many safety and security conferences, on topics ranging from the benefits and risks of artificial intelligence to online safety for children to leveraging machine learning to detect fraud and abuse to promoting and developing a diverse team. I’ve also testified twice before the United States Congress, and appeared before government and academic bodies in Australia, India, China, and across Europe.

Testimonials
"Joe Sullivan delivered an amazing closing keynote for the 2024 Minorities in Cybersecurity Annual Conference. Using his own career as a backdrop he walked through examples of how he was able to attract, develop, and retain diverse talent and build highly effective diverse teams in each organization he worked for. He shared mishaps and when things did not go so well and why he believed having diverse teams is key to any organization's ability to compete globally. Tapping into diverse talent is necessary for organizations to fill their cybersecurity workforce shortage and Joe's examples offer a path forward."

Joe's presentation was fantastic; he hit so many good points and got my mind running. So much food for thought. I and others were captivated. There were over 200 people in the room and another 1,000 online. Very grateful for Joe making the time for us.
