Bay Area Cyber Leadership & Entrepreneurship Summit

On January 25, 2025, I had the chance to join an incredible group of leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators at the Bay Area Cyber Leadership & Entrepreneurship Summit at the Fremont Downtown Event Center. It was a full day of honest conversations, practical advice, and big ideas—all centered on what it takes to make a real impact in cybersecurity.

During my session, “Ready for Impact: Equipping Your Security Team to Navigate Crises with Confidence,” I shared some hard-earned lessons from navigating tough situations. We talked about what a security team truly needs to stay steady under pressure and how preparation—not just reaction—makes all the difference.

During the rest of the summit, we covered topics like AI security, building successful cybersecurity startups, and what really works (and doesn’t) during a breach response. These were focused, practical discussions designed to help tackle the issues we’re all facing. The day wrapped up with a networking reception, where participants exchanged experiences and ideas and connected with others just as passionate about driving this industry forward.

I’m looking forward to more conversations like these as we continue working together to tackle the challenges ahead.
